“The Youth of Moscow”, which brought up the four-time Olympic champions Anastasiya Davydova and Anastasiya Ermakova, decided how to spend two and a half million rubles from “The Russian Olympians Foundation”

The specialized children-youth sport school of the Olympic reserve “The Youth of Moscow” in synchronized swimming, which brought up the four-time Olympic champions Anastasia Davydova and Anastasia Ermakova, became the grants’ recipient of “The Russian Olympians Foundation” in program of support children-youth schools. The general director of “The Youth of Moscow” Yury Fedorov told to the Agency of sport information “All Sport”, how they are going to spend the grant of two and a half million rubles.

“I have been in sport for a long time, and remember the times when the sport committee of the USSR held special projects to support children-youth schools, - Yury Fedorov said. - Then, these programs were forgotten, but now, thanks to “The Russian Olympians Foundation”, they are coming back. I can say, that personally for me, it’s not the matter of money we will receive, the most important is that someone has at last paid attention to us, appreciated our work. At the same time I wish the state paid us the same attention, because actually the state provides our activity for 99 %. 52 children-youth schools of different kinds of sport are in “The youth of Moscow”, including technically complicated sports, like equestrian sport, where we can’t manage without big expenses. Our school of synchronized swimming has brought up, for example, four-time Olympic champions in synchronized swimming Anastasia Davydova and Anastasia Ermakova. For the moment the Olympic champions in group Natalya Ischenko, Svetlana Romashina, perspective young athletes work here with the great coach Tatyana Danchenko … I can say that in my opinion Tatyana Danchenko is one of the most talented and dedicated coaches in our country. And the grant of “The Russian Olympians Foundation” will, certainly, stimulate all of us. It let us know that we are appreciated, that we have stimulus to move further”.

Yury Fedorov also told, where he is going to spend the grant of “The Russian Olympians Foundation”. “We have just met together with our coaches, with the director of the school and discussed how we can spend the money. We decided, first, to organize the rehabilitation camp in Montenegro for our best pupils. Our children have great training volumes, and it will be fair, if after a hard season the best of them will get opportunity to go to the sea, to swim and sunbathe. And second, we are planning to buy the modern apparatus. We are still conducting the negotiations with the Foundation on this theme, because the people who work there are not professionals in synchronize swimming and every time we have to explain why we need, for example, video recorder or a camera for underwater shooting”, - Yury Ferdorov explained.
