The changes in the management of “The Russian Olympians Foundation”; the secretary of the Olympic Council of the President of the Russian Federation Aleksey Kulakovsky became the new chairman of the Board of the Stakeholders

The common meeting of the founders of “The Russian Olympians Foundation” (the founders - 15 leading businessmen of the country, the head of the Tutorial council - the RF President Dmitry Medvedev) confirmed the changes in the management of the Foundation. The executive director of the “Russian Olympians Foundation” Alexander Karushev told the details to the Agency of sport information "All Sport".

“About a year ago in “The Russian Olympians Foundation” appeared the new structure, formed for the quick reaction on often appearing questions - Presidium, , - Alexander Katushev reminded. - The assistant of the president of the Russian Federation Alexander Abramov headed it, and Vladimir Lisin, Vladimir Potanin, Vitaly Mutko, Leonid Tyagachev, Vladislav Tretyak and Vyacheslav Fetisov became the members of the Presidium. Thus in the Charter of the Foundation we agreed about the possibility of rotation of the presidium with a regularity in one year. We have just carried out this rotation. The new members of the Presidium became the founders of the Foundation Alisher Usmanov, Andrey Bokarev and Dmitry Pumplyansky. So, the present stuff of the Foundation is - Alexander Abramov (the chairman), Alisher Usmanov, Andrey Bokarev, Dmitry Pumplyansky, Vitaly Mutko, Vladislav Tretyak and Leonid Tyagachev. The other members of the Tutorial Council will replace some members of the Presidium in a year”.

“One year ago Radjan Mamedov, the head of the projects of the Charity Foundation of Vladimir Potanin, was appointed the chairman of the Board of the Stakeholders of “The Russian Olympians Foundation”, - Alexander Katushev continued. - For the moment the deputy chief of the Department of the President of the Russian Federation of maintenance of the activity of the State Council Aleksey Kulakovsky became the new chairman of the Board of the Stakeholders of the Foundation. I remind you that Aleksey Viktorovich is also the secretary of the Council of the President of the Russian Federation of development of physical culture and sports, preparation and holding the Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi and Universiad 2013 in Kasan. And also, Alexander Abramov will remain in the head of the Presidium of “The Russian Olympians Foundation” for at least two years - according, again, to our Charter. As you can see, the level of taking decisions in the Foundation still remains very high”.

The famous Russian runner, 800 m Olympic champion Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident that happened at night September, 30 – October, 1 in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The car accident resulted in a man’s death but the criminal case was not even started.
