The leaders of the South Korean foundation “Sport talents of the future generation” wish to visit “The Russian Olympians Foundation” to adopt its experience

At the beginning of November the leaders of the South Korean foundation “Sport talents of the future generation” wish to visit “The Russian Olympians Foundation” (which was founded by 15 leading Russian businessmen, the head of the Tutorial council is the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev), to study the activity of the Russian colleagues more precisely and possibly adopt the experience of their work. The executive director of “The Russian Olympians Foundation” Alexander Katushev told about it to the Agency of sport information “All Sport”.

“At the first All-Russian sport forum “Russia is a sport country”, which was held on October, 22-25 in Kazan, the representatives of the South Korea came up to me, - Alexander Katushev said. - They told me that there exists a foundation “Sport talents of the future generation” in Seoul, which supports athletes, coaches, sport managers, judges and experts in international relations in sports, who are able in future to be included in the main national team. The main global aim of the foundation is to make the sport in South Korea more competitive from all points of view. The Korean got much interested in our experience and told me that they would like to come and to study closer the work of “The Russian Olympians Foundation”. Later they sent us the written acknowledgement of the request, having specified that the leaders of the foundation “Sport talents of the future generation” wish to visit us at the beginning of November. We will try, as much as possible, to satisfy the interest of the Korean colleagues in the activity of the Foundation. From the very beginning of its existing the Foundation is an open structure, the information about our work is published on the official web-site. Really, the South Korea has recently risen in the results in summer and especially in winter kinds of sport. According to the results of the latest winter season, the Koreans became the seventh in the overall medal count, and the Russia became the 9’th, having won one gold medal less. As we can see, Korea is actively engaged in loaning and analyzing of the operational experience not only directly in sports, but also in spheres closely connected with sports. Obviously, after studying our experience, they hope to adopt something and make the work of their foundation more effective. We also are interested to see their works, and, probably, to borrow some useful ideas. It is not a sin to borrow a good experience from other countries. But here it is very important to realize that the difference between our countries, particular, in law system, and in practice may be very considerable. The automatic adoption of the experience is not always possible”.

We remind you that the founders of “The Russian Olympians Foundation” are 15 leading Russian businessmen - Alexander Abramov, Roman Abramovich, Petr Aven, Vagit Alekperov, Vladimir Bogdanov, Andrey Bokarev, Viktor Vekselberg, Oleg Deripaska, Vladimir Evtushenkkov, Vladimir Lisin, Vladimit Potanin, Dmitry Pumpyansky, Viktor Rashnikov, Dmitry Rybolovlev and Alisher Usmanov.

The famous Russian runner, 800 m Olympic champion Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident that happened at night September, 30 – October, 1 in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The car accident resulted in a man’s death but the criminal case was not even started.
