Dmitry Medvedev will sign the Decree about holding the All-Russian Games of schoolboys since 2011 among the pupils of comprehensive schools

From the 1st of September 2011 the new mass children-youth competitions - the All-Russian Games of schoolboys (among the pupils of comprehensive schools) under the patronage of the RF President will start in this country. The secretary of the Presidential Council of development of physical culture and sports, the deputy chief of the Department on maintenance of activity of the State Council of the RF presidential Administration, the chairman of the board of “The Russian Olympians Foundation” Aleksey Kulakovsky told to the Agency of sport information “All Sport” that in the nearest future Dmitry Medvedev will sign the corresponding Decree.

“For the moment the project of the Decree of the RF President about holding the new mass children-youth competitions in the country - the All-Russian Games of schoolboys is ready, - Aleksey Kulakovsky said. - For the moment we hold winter and summer Spartakiada for schoolboys, but pupils only of sport schools and specialized children-youth schools of the Olympic reserve participate in them. But I am sure that sport talents are not only in sport schools. And active and healthy boys should be more. That’s why the All-Russian Games of schoolboys among the pupils of comprehensive schools will be held under the patronage of the RF President. They will become the continue and development of all-Russian sport Games under the name “The Presidential competitions”, which are held for many years among the pupils of senior classes. The first All-Russian Games of schoolboys will be held on September, 1, 2011, together with the new academic year. They will start on the municipal level, then they will be changed to the city level, then to the regional, and at the end of the year, in Spring 2012, the best of the best will participate on All-Russian level. The Ministry of sports and the Ministry of Education will define the kinds of sports, and the program of competitions. The main age of the participants will be defined that way, to give to the leader’s opportunity to participate in the Youth Olympic Games. I think it will be a great stimulus for schoolboys to go in for sports. I remind you that the first summer youth Olympic Games will be held in Singapore in August this year, and the first winter youth Olympic Games will be held in January 2012 in Ginsburg (Austria). And, certainly, all thewinners of the first All-Russian Games of schoolboys will be invited to the third international forum “Russia is a sport country”, which will be held in Autumn, 2012”.

“We expect that Dmitry Medvedev will sign the Decree about holding the All-Russian Games of schoolboys already in the nearest future”, - Elelsey Kulakovsky added.

The famous Russian runner, 800 m Olympic champion Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident that happened at night September, 30 – October, 1 in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The car accident resulted in a man’s death but the criminal case was not even started.
