BOXING. The court in Lausanne started criminal case against the AIBA President Ching-Kuo Wu, the first hearing will be on August, 7

The court of the Switzerland town Lausanne has started the criminal case against the President of the Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA) Ching-Kuo Wu, who is accused by the Vice-President of the AIBA Eduard Husainov of slander and illegal belittling in the rights, and has appointed the date of the first hearing on August, 7. The lawyer of the company “Strategy and Trinfico” Sergey Kovalev, who carries this case on behalf of the Russian side, told about it to the Agency of sport information “All Sport”.

“We assumed that with the possibility 90 percent the investigatory judge would start the case, and so it happened, -- Sergey Kovalev stated. – Our side accuses the AIBA President firstly of slander, which was expressed in the charge of Eduard Husainov in terrorist activity. Secondly of illegal belittling in the rights, which was expressed in suspending of the status of Eduard Husainov as the AIBA Vice-President. The investigatory judge has filed our appeal and has started the criminal case against Mr. Wu. The first hearing will be held on August, 7, and both sides -- the plaintiff and the defendant will be invited there”.

Sergey Kovalev has also said, that within next week the preliminary verdict will be made in the case “Eduard Husainov against the AIBA” in the civil court in Lausanne. “On Friday, June, 22, the first hearings of this case were carried. Our demands are invariable: 1) to admit the groundless of charging Eduard Husainov in terrorist activity; 2) to bring official apologies in connection with this case; 3) to restore Eduard Husainov as the Vice-President of the AIBA; 4) to pay the moral damage with symbolize sum 1 Switzerland Frank. At the meeting the opposite side admitted the groundless of charging our client in terrorist activity, but in spite of this fact they refused to restore his rights, referring on a “supplementary circumstances”. We can’t get from the AIBA for several weeks already what circumstances they meant. Finally, the judge has promised to make the preliminary verdict within a week, although he has legal right to consider the case for two weeks. We hope, that they will make a so called “provided measures”, that is the satisfaction of the demands before the final verdict. So, Eduard Husainov will be able to get again the status of the AIBA Vice-President within the next few days”, -- Sergey Kovalev noted.

ATHLETICS. Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident and a person’s death
The famous Russian runner, 800 m Olympic champion Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident that happened at night September, 30 – October, 1 in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The car accident resulted in a man’s death but the criminal case was not even started. Agency of sport information “All Sport” has learnt it from the personal trainer of Yury Borzakovsky – Vyacheslav Evstratov.
