OLYMPICS. Accounts Chamber: Rossport got completely eliminated from the management of the children’s sport

There is no any State Policy in the sphere of children’s and juniors’ sport in Russia. The legal base in this sphere isn’t yet formed. The corresponding project of the Federal Law was rejected, and there no alternative was offered. Such a conclusion was made by the RF Account Chamber (the head -- Sergey Stepashin) according to the results of the expert-analytical measure “The State support of children’s and juniors’ sports”, which was held in Rossport (the head -- Vyacheslav Fetisov). This announcement was given to the Agency of sport information “All Sport” by the Information Department of the Account Chamber. We publish it without changes.

“Last Friday, on July, 20, the Board of the Account Chamber of the Russian Federation with its head Sergey Stepashin studied the results of the expert-analytical measure “The State support of children’s and juniors’ sports”. The auditor Alexandr Nazarov came out with the announcement.

At the meeting of the board they noticed that there is no any State Policy in the sphere of development of children’s and juniors’ sport in Russia in the present moment. The legal base in this sphere isn’t formed. The corresponding project of the Federal Law was rejected, andno alternative was offered.

The system of children’s and juniors’ sport schools is separated between different departments and organizations, that exclude the possibility of holding the united State policy in the sphere of development of the children’s and juniors’ sport.

No means of the federal budget are distributed for financing of children’s sport, the material base of children’s sport develops only due to means of the Russian Federation subjects. The children’s and juniors’ schools aren’t included in the current priority National Project “Education” as the organizations of additional education.

In the analytical note there is also mentioned that the Federal Agency of Physical Training and Sports has completely eliminated from the management of children’s sport, being concentrated only on financing and development of the professional sport, that finally creates preconditions for decreasing of the professional level of the Russian Sports in the whole.

The Board has decided to send the information letters to the RF President Vladimir Putin and to the Chief of the Russian Government Mikhail Fradkov. The analytical note is sent to the Chambers of the Federal Assembly”.

ATHLETICS. Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident and a person’s death
The famous Russian runner, 800 m Olympic champion Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident that happened at night September, 30 – October, 1 in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The car accident resulted in a man’s death but the criminal case was not even started. Agency of sport information “All Sport” has learnt it from the personal trainer of Yury Borzakovsky – Vyacheslav Evstratov.
