ATHLETICS. During the All Russian Athletics Championship will be held the competitions in jumping kylyy, ystanga and kuobah

The national Yakutian jumps -- kylyy, ystanga and kuobah have been included in the program of the All Russian Athletics Championship and the national trials for the World championship in Osaka, which will be held in Tula on July, 31 -- August, 3. The head the competitions management of the All Russian Athletics Federation Mikhail Butov told about it to the Agency of sport information “All Sport”.

“The decision to include the Yakut jumps in the official program of the All Russian Athletics Championship was made during the Presidium meeting in May at the request of the Yakutian Sport Ministry and the Republic Athletics Federation, -- Mikhail Butov said. -- From our side it is the attempt to develop the national kinds of sports, in the base of which Athletics stands. The competitions will be held in the three types if jumps -- kylyy (eleven jumps on the push leg), ystanga (eleven steps from one leg to the other), kuobah (eleven jumps on both legs) and in the sum of the three jumps among male and female. But it is not the first experience for us. Two years ago the Yakutian jumps were already included in the program of the All Russian Athletics Championship, and this year only at the last moment we didn’t manage to include them in the program of the “Russian Winter” in January. Before even the famous triple jumpers took part in the competitions: the Olympic medalist Danil Burkenya, the Russian Championship medalist Eugeny Plotnir, Sergey Oleynik. The stuff of the participants of these competitions isn’t combined yet, so we have all chances to see in the sector somebody of the stars of the Russian Athletics. More over, the organizers from Yakutia have promised to present diamonds to the winners”.

Till the beginning of the XXI century the results of Nikolay Sannikov, made in the year 1968, were the Russian records. In kylyy he made the result 45,23 m, in ystanga -- 44,18 m, in kuobah -- 38,75 m. For the moment the Russian record in kylyy is 48,13 m (the record holder is Yury Gavrilev), in ystanga -- 46,57 m (Yury Gavrilev), in Kuobah -- 39,55 m (Dmitry Zhirkov).

ATHLETICS. Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident and a person’s death
The famous Russian runner, 800 m Olympic champion Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident that happened at night September, 30 – October, 1 in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The car accident resulted in a man’s death but the criminal case was not even started. Agency of sport information “All Sport” has learnt it from the personal trainer of Yury Borzakovsky – Vyacheslav Evstratov.
