OLYMPICS. The Bid Campaign “Moscow-2010” for the right to host the first in history youth Olympic Games-2010 will be held by young boys and girls

On October, 29 in Moscow in the Education Center №1409 on Hodynsky boulevard the presentation of the Bid Book “Moscow-2010” for the right to host the first in history youth Olympic Games-2010 was held. The major of Moscow Yury Luzhkov, the President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Leonid Tyagachev, the Chairman of the Rossport, the two-time Olympic Champion Vyacheslav Fetisov, the Olympic Champions led by the nine Olympic Gold medals holder Larisa Latynina emotionally took part in the ceremony. The Heads of the youth Bid Committee “Moscow-2010” actively participated in the presentation -- the Chairman Andrey Rameyev, Darya Pyashenko, Ekaterina Chipurenko, Alexandra Kuznezova and Aleksey Kubarev. Andrey Rameyev told to the Agency of sport information “All Sport” about the role of the teenagers in the bid campaign.

“The youth Bid Committee “Moscow-2010” consists of 18 persons -- school boys and girls and students, -- Andrey Rameev said. -- We all came here by different ways. For example, I fulfill the role of the Vice-Major of Moscow Valery Vinogradov in the youth Government of Moscow. And as he is the Chairman of the real Bid Committee “Moscow-2010” -- I became the Chairman of the youth Committee. Dasha Pyashenko is responsible for the sports sphere, as she is an atlete herself. Katya Chipurenko studies at the Moscow State University, writes for “Pionerskaya Pravda”. And the absolute confidence unites us in spite of all our differences -- Moscow wants, can and must become the Host City of the first in history youth Olympic Games-2010! We all have a lot of interests, hobbies, but during the studying and holydays we have always thought about the Moscow’s Bid. It is difficult to say how many times we gained together. When they were working at the Bid Book, which was given to the International Olympic Committee on October, 26, we gained very often. Sometimes we were creating interesting ideas almost all days long. We had joint meetings with Valery Vinogradov, Vyacheslav Fetisov, Leonid Tyagachev, Alexander Chernov. Our main goal was to create something interesting, original, but at the same time corresponding the spirit and letter of the World Olympic Movement. I hope we managed with our task at the first stage”.

Andrey Rameyev also said that one of the ideas of the youth Bid Committee “Moscow-2010” was included in the Bid Book “Moscow-2010”. “This is the international internet-portal for the communication of boys and girls from all over the World. It was open today, on the day of the presentation. It will work in eight languages. We hope and believe that all those young people, who share the ideals of Olympic, peace and friendship, will communicate there. Those people, who will meet in the year 2010 at the first in history youth Olympic Games-2010 in Moscow”, -- Andrey Rameyev said.

ATHLETICS. Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident and a person’s death
The famous Russian runner, 800 m Olympic champion Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident that happened at night September, 30 – October, 1 in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The car accident resulted in a man’s death but the criminal case was not even started.
