OLYMPICS. The working group for preparation of the Bid Book “Baku-2016” has been established

On October, 30 the first meeting of the Organizing Committee for support of the Bid of Baku for the right to host the Summer Olympic Games 2016 was held, and the decision was made to establish the working group for preparation of the Bid Book “Baku-2016”, which must be sent to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Azerbaijan professor Chingiz Guseinzade told about it to the special correspondent of the Agency of sport information “All Sport” in Azerbaijan.

“All the members of the Organizing Committee for support of the Bid “Baku-2016” took part in the meeting and the main question was the preparation of the Bid Book “Baku-2016”, -- Chingiz Guseinzade said. -- Generally we discussed the details of preparation of the Bid Book. We gave different assignments for the executive authority of the city Baku and other organizations, which are involved in this process. One representative of each organization, involved in the Organizing Committee for support “Baku-2016” will be included in the working group, a so called Bid-Commission. I think within the next few days the structure of the working group will be defined by names”.

Chingiz Guseinzade also said that on October, 31 the meeting of the Organizing Committee “Baku-2016” will be held in narrow structure, at which the details of the work will be discussed. “Tomorrow everybody who is involved in preparation of the Bid “Baku-2016” will gather together-- the representatives of the NOC, the Ministry of youth and sports, including the General Secretary of the Organizing Committee, the Head of the International Department of the Ministry of youth and sports, the Chief of the Commission of the Olympic Team of Azerbaijan at the Games 2008 in Beijing Ilkham Madatov. During this meeting we are going to discuss what kind of information about the condition of the city, facilities we need, to gain information which sport complexes will be built in the near future, where and with which parameters. We are going to discuss technical questions”.

The world number one and the finalist of the first Grand Slam of the year Australian Open Maria Sharapova is still planning to play for Russia in the Fed Cup quarterfinal against Spain. ATHLETICS. Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident and a person’s death
The famous Russian runner, 800 m Olympic champion Yury Borzakovsky was found not guilty in the car accident that happened at night September, 30 – October, 1 in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The car accident resulted in a man’s death but the criminal case was not even started. Agency of sport information “All Sport” has learnt it from the personal trainer of Yury Borzakovsky – Vyacheslav Evstratov.
